Tax Exemption 80G Certificate

Some Indian not-for-profit organizations are eligible for a tax deduction for their donors' contributions and members' dues if they have an 80G certification, which is given by the Income Tax Department.

1. Prerequisites

You must first create a Contribution or a Membership before you can create a Tax Exemption 80G Certificate.

Also, you must configure a few settings in the "Non-Profit Settings" area of the Business Master in order to generate the 80G Certificates.

  • 80G Number: The 80G Number that the Income Tax Administration has given to your NGO.

  • 80G With Effect From: The day your Organization received its 80G certification.

  • PAN Number: PAN number for the company or NGO.

2.1 Tax Exemption 80G Certificate for Member

At the conclusion of the financial year, Member Certificates are generated, including all of the Memberships the Member had subscribed to. Visit:r to generate a fresh certificate for a Member.

  1. Make the Certificate Recipient and Name Series Members.
  2. Choose the Participant. It will automatically retrieve the member's name, email address, and PAN number.
  3. Choose the Fiscal Year and the Date.
  4. Choose the Business. The PAN, 80G Number, and other information will be immediately obtained.
  5. Choose the business address you want to appear on the certificate. If nothing is specified, Save will use the default company address.
  6. Choose Acquire Memberships from the menu. This will retrieve every Membership for the chosen Member for the chosen Fiscal Year, and the total amount will be set. For each entry, it will retrieve the Date, Amount, Membership, Invoice ID, and RazorPay Payment ID (if configured). Save.

2.2 Tax Exemption 80G Certificate for Donor

For every donation, a Donor Certificate is generated. Go to: to create a new donor certificate.

  1. Set the Certificate Recipient as the Donor and the Naming Series as the Donor.
  2. Decide on a Donor. The donor's name, email address, and PAN number will be immediately retrieved.
  3. Choose a date.
  4. Choose the Business. The PAN, 80G Number, and other information will be immediately obtained.
  5. Choose the business address you want to appear on the certificate. If nothing is specified, Save will use the default company address.
  6. Decide the donation you wish to generate a certificate for. For the chosen donation, information about the donation, including the Date, Amount, RazorPay Payment ID (if set), and Mode of Payment, will be obtained. Save.
