BOM Comparison Tool

By comparing two BOMs, you may see what changed between their revisions using the BOM Comparison Tool.

A Bill of Materials, or BOM, for an item varies frequently over time. When something in your BOM has to be changed, you must cancel the BOM, amend it, make the necessary changes, and then create a new version of the BOM. Now that the change history has been lost, there are two separate BOMs.

With the help of the BOM Comparison Tool, you can compare two separate BOMs and see what changed.

1. How to use the BOM Comparison Tool

  1. In the BOM 1 field, choose the old BOM that you want to compare it against.

  2. Choose the new BOM from which you want the modifications to appear in the BOM 2 field.

  3. The modifications will be shown as soon as you choose both values.
