Table MultiSelect Field

Link Field and the Table MultiSelect field are extremely similar. The main distinction is that the Table MultiSelect field lets you choose from a variety of values.

To further grasp this, let's look at an example. As seen below, suppose you want to assign a ToDo to numerous users.

You can add a Table MultiSelect Field by using the following steps:

Step 1: Create a child DocType.

As seen below, create a new DocType, turn on the "Is Child Table" and "Editable Grid" checkboxes, and then add a field with the "Link" type.

Make the link field required. Make sure "In List View" is checked in the child table's field.

Step 2: Add a field with type 'Table MultiSelect'.

The DocType created in the first step should be added to the "options" section of a field with the type "Table MultiSelect".

Any chosen value may be deleted by clicking the cross next to it or by placing the pointer there and using the Backspace key.

Just one value may be chosen for this field at a time.

Note: Table MultiSelect fields cannot be added in child DocTypes.
