Several medical facilities don't charge for follow-up appointments that happen soon after the initial visit. In healthcare settings, you can set the maximum number of free follow-ups and the duration of free consultations. This will create a Fee Validity document

1. How to Enable Free Follow Up:

To enable free follow-ups go to:

Home > Healthcare > Settings > Healthcare Settings

• "Allow Free Follow Ups" must be checked.

• "Number of Patient Encounters in Valid Days" should be entered.

• Fill in "Valid amount of days."

One patient can receive three free follow-up visits within 30 days, as demonstrated below:

Once configured, a Fee Validity document will be generated whenever you schedule an appointment for a new patient.

For each appointment, this fee validity document will be updated:

• As long as there are still open slots and the appointment dates fall within the "Valid Until" window, the status is indicated as Pending. When all open slots have been filled, the status is changed to Finished.
• Maximum visits: The number of cost-free visits that may be made.
• Visited: The total number of complimentary visits.
• Start Date: The day of the first unscheduled appointment.
• Valid Until: The final day when a fee is valid. Start Date + Valid Number of Days is how this is computed (from Healthcare Settings).
