ERPNext Shipping

Introduced in version 13

You may create labels, check the progress of your shipments, and compare shipping costs given by various service providers with the ERPNext Shipping app.

It is possible to integrate with the following service providers:

  1. Packlink
  2. LetMeShip
  3. SendCloud

You must install the ERPNext Shipping app on your website in order to use these functionalities. The app is available on GitHub, the Frappe Cloud Marketplace, or by contacting your hosting company.

1. Setting Up

For the app to run smoothly, you will have to generate an API key from at least one of the platforms indicated above. To set them up, follow this advice:

  1. Create a Packlink PRO account.
  2. To create an API Key, follow these instructions.
  3. Search for Packlink in the awesomebar.
  4. Toggle the "Enabled" field selected and add the API Key to the Packlink DocType.
  5. Save.

1.1 Sendcloud API

  1. Sign up for Sendcloud.
  2. To create a Public Key and a Private Key, follow these instructions.
  3. Use awesomebar to look up SendCloud.
  4. In the SendCloud DocType, add the Public Key in the "API Key" area and the Secret Key in the "API Secret" field.
  5. Verify the Enabled section.
  6. Save

1.1 LetMeShip API

  1. Create a LetMeShip account.
  2. To create an API ID and API Password, follow these instructions.
  3. Use the awesomebar to look up LetMeShip.
  4. Update the LetMeShip DocType with the API ID and API Password. Make sure Enabled is selected.
  5. Save.

2. Features

2.1 Comparison of Shipping Rates

If the app is installed, the button Obtain Shipping Prices will show up once a Shipment is filed. You will see a list of services, along with the service providers and prices, when you click.

Moreover, you may use the Parcel Service Type to add commonly used services to your Favorite Services:

  1. Let's add the highlighted service to our Recommended Services assuming it is a regularly utilized service.
  2. Choose New under Parcel Service Type. Create a new parcel delivery service. It is "TNT" in our situation.
  3. Include a Parcel Service Type. That word will be "Economy" in our situation.
  4. The Parcel Service Type Alias table should also include "Economy".
  5. Provide a description (optional).
  6. The Show in Preferred Services List field should be enabled. Save.

You will now always see the previously highlighted service under Preferred Services when you click the Get Shipping Prices button.

2.2 Creation of Shipment

By selecting Choose next to the relevant service row after comparing prices, you can continue with any of the services. A Shipment is instantly produced on the platform of your service provider after you click.

As a result of the Shipment produced, you'll see that the Shipment Information section is automatically updated.

The Shipment ID field can be used to search for your transaction on the platform of your service provider.

2.3 Printing Labels

The current record must generate the Shipment ID before the Print Shipping Label button is available.

The shipping label will then be generated when you click on it.

By selecting View > Track Status, you can also keep track of the progress of your shipment.
