Routing

Routing is a template of BOM Operations.

All Operations, together with their descriptions, hourly rates, times, batch sizes, etc., are stored in a routing. Since identical Activities are used to manufacture different goods, it is advantageous to create a routing for your BOM operations.

Go to: to access the Routing list.

Home > Manufacturing > Bill of Materials > Routing

1. Prerequisites

  • Operation
  • Workstation

2. How to Create a Routing

  1. Click on New in the Routing list.
  2. Type a name in the Routing field.
  3. Fill out the BOM Operation table with the Operations:

    1. Select the Operation.
    2. Will fetch the default Workstation.
    3. For this operation, provide the hourly rate.
    4. In minutes, enter the operation time.
    5. Write down the batch size, or the total number of units processed during this Operation.
    6. The Hourly Rate and the Operation Time will be used to compute the Operational Cost.
  4. Save.

A Routing can be chosen in a BOM once it has been built to retrieve the Operations kept inside.

3. Sequence ID in Routing

Via the Job Card, Sequence ID forces users to execute tasks in order. The system issues a validation error if a user attempts to complete an operation without first completing any of its predecessor actions according to the Sequence ID.
