Capacity Planning based on Production Order
Capacity Planning based on Production Order
You can keep track of the production tasks assigned to each Workstation with the aid of the capacity planning functionality.
The steps to use the ERPNext account's capacity planning feature are as follows.
Operations
Go to Manufacturing > Bill of Materials > Operations to add operations.
Workstation
In your ERP, add each workstation. Next entry from: Bill of Materials > Workstation > Manufacturing
You can specify the operations that will be carried out on a workstation as well as the associated costs and working hours in the workstation master.
Bill of Materials (BOM)
Together with the list of raw materials required for manufacturing, a BOM might also include the operations and workstations that will be used to process those raw materials.
Production Order
Timesheet for Operations upon Production Order Submission. This enables you to assign production tasks to each Workstation and to update the real time required for each Operation.
We receive the following error message after submitting a production order.
Please confirm that the Working Hours information in the Workstation master has been changed. If not, please do so before attempting to submit a production order. Operations (as listed in the BOM) are assigned to the workstation upon submission of the Production Order. Every procedure must to begin and end on the same day. If a system cannot schedule that operation in a single day, it will ask you to divide the project so that the system can arrange smaller operations throughout the day. If you've updated your workstation's working hours but are still experiencing this problem, it's likely that one of your operations is taking too long and cannot be finished in a single day. Please break that task up into smaller tasks so that it can be assigned to a workstation and finished that same day.
