Setting Up Laboratory
Setting Up Laboratory
You can create Users with Laboratory User if you want to use Laboratory capabilities. Users with this Role enabled are the only ones who can see Lab Tests, Sample Collecting, etc.
To configure the Healthcare module, read Healthcare Settings.
Lab Test Templates
Every time you create a new Lab Test, the template set up for that specific test is used to load the Lab Test document. This implies that you will need to configure unique templates for each lab test.
This is how to configure various template kinds.
Healthcare > Setup > Lab Test Template > New Lab Test Template
You must choose a Code and Item group before you can create the mapped item after supplying the test's name. Every Lab Test and every other billable healthcare service are mapped by ERPNext Healthcare to an item with "Maintain Stock" set to false. In this manner, the Selling Module's sales-related reports will be shown and the Accounts Module will invoice the item. Here, you may also set the lab test selling price, which will update the selling price list.
Similar to how the Item Standard Selling Rate functions, changing the Standard Selling Rate field will not update the Selling Price List.
The item is created in the Lab Test Template with the Is Billable flag set to Disabled. Similarly, checking this box will make the item inactive.
Outcome Format
The ERPNext Healthcare outcome formats are as follows.
Use this style for results that only need a single input, such as a result UOM and a normal value.
Compound: lets you specify event names, result UOMs, and normal values for results that call for multiple input fields.
This style is useful for outcomes that contain several result components and related result entry fields, according to the descriptor.
Test templates that have already been configured can be grouped and combined into a single test. When using such templates, choose Grouped.
No Impact: If you don't need to enter or maintain test results, choose this. No Lab Test document will also be produced. Subtests for Grouped Results, for instance
You can choose the default values for the Single and Compound result formats.
Sample You must choose the Sample that is needed for the test. The amount of sample that needs to be gathered might also be mentioned. The Sample Collection document for the Lab Test will be created using these specifics.
Medical Department You can construct various Medical Departments to set up departments within your clinic. With the lab test template, you may choose the appropriate departments to print with the lab test results.
