To manage payroll, attendance, or other HRM tasks, you can also link a healthcare professional to an employee.

2. Features

2.1 Track Payroll, Attendance, Roles and Permissions

You must create and choose the Employee in the "Employee" field in practitioner in order to track all Human Resource Management operations for the Practitioner. By establishing the proper Holiday List and Practitioner Schedule, this will aid in the administration of Payroll and also track availability and attendance for making appointments. After that, you can make an ERPNext User that is connected to the Employee document. This will assist the Practitioner in keeping track of permissions.

Note: By choosing the Employee field, you may quickly set up the Practitioner by retrieving all pertinent fields configured in the Employee record.

You can link Users to Practitioners and assign them the necessary roles if the Healthcare Practitioners in your Healthcare Units are not employees.

2.2 Practitioner Availability

Each practitioner has numerous Practitioner Schedule options, and you can optionally designate the service unit where they will be available.

2.3 Healthcare Practitioner Charges

The service items for consulting fees can be chosen or created, and then put in the "Out-Patient Consultation Charge Item" and "In-Patient Consulting Charge Item" fields. They are retrievable from sales invoices. The practitioner's applicable consultation fees are up to you to decide. You can also choose an Income Account for a Physician to book each Consultation charge into a different account, if necessary.

Note: Make sure that the Items you create for services have "Maintain Stock" and "Include Items in Manufacturing" unchecked since they are service items

2.4 Referring Physicians

Maintaining a list of doctors who refer patients to your clinic may also be a good idea. By omitting the Employee and User connections, you can control such data in the Healthcare Practitioner document itself.

You can link numerous contacts and addresses for the Practitioner, who may work at various hospitals.
