Patient History Settings

You can set the doctypes and fields for the patient medical record and patient history using the patient history settings.

1. Standard Document Types
The Patient History Settings have the following Standard Document Types already set up.
- Patient Encounter
- Clinical Procedure
- Lab Test
- Therapy Session
- Vital Signs Inpatient Medication Order
In the patient's medical record and patient history, you can add or modify any fields you want to include. To edit the configuration for a particular doctype, click the Add/Edit Fields button next to that doctype. All the fields that are currently configured will be checked in the window that appears. Then, after making your selections (including any custom fields), click Save to save your changes. The settings are then saved.
A Patient Medical Record with the set fields and values will be produced upon document submission and erased upon document cancellation, depending on your choice. The related medical record will also be updated if you make changes to the document.
2. Custom Document Types
You can configure the Custom Document Types in this table in a manner akin to how Standard Document Type setup is done.
Choose Custom DocType.
Specify the fieldname for the DocType's date field. When filtering patient history's medical records by dates, this will be used. For instance, encounter date is the name of the date field for a patient encounter.
The fields can then be configured by clicking the Add / Modify Fields button.
