In a manufacturing scenario, after the Stock entry is filed, the product is made and the serial numbers are generated.

But, if it becomes necessary to create a list of serial numbers manually (dynamically as per requirement). The serial numbers can be generated in what way?

Proceed to the Item List page. Make a new item — Check Serial number

Go to Serial number doctype --> Create serial numbers

In the production process, the steps Work order - Finish - Stock entry - Choose your serial numbers based on the manufacturing run.

This enables you to choose Serial numbers at the time of manufacturing in a flexible manner.
