Human Resource Setup

The setup process for the HR module requires you to establish masters for each of the key tasks.

Organization Setup

You must first create: before setting up your Employee master.

  • Kind of Employment (like Permanent, Temp, Contractor, Intern etc).
  • Branch (if there are many offices) (if there are multiple offices).
  • Department (if any, like Accounting, Sales etc) (if any, like Accounting, Sales etc).
  • Designation (CEO, Sales Manager etc) (CEO, Sales Manager etc).
  • Grade (A, B, C etc, usually based on seniority) (A, B, C etc, usually based on seniority).*

Leave Setup

Create: to set up Leaves.

  • Leave Status (like Sick Leave, Travel Leave etc)
  • Christmas List (list of annual holidays for the year - these days will not be considered in Leave Applications)
  • Effectively track and manage employee leaves across the firm with a leave policy

Payroll (Salary) Setup In ERPNext, salaries are broken down into two categories: earnings (base salary, company-paid costs like phone bills and travel expenses, etc.) and deductions (amounts deducted for taxes, social security etc). The majority of the payroll processing can be streamlined for you using ERPNext, and you can develop and allocate salary structures to employees.

Recruitment
