Membership Type

Membership Type

The fundamental building component of membership management is membership types. Normally, a company creates a membership category for each of the several memberships they provide. One membership type could be sufficient for the smallest membership systems. Other membership kinds can be necessary for membership arrangements that are more intricate. For instance, a group might establish three membership categories for "regular," "student," and "honorary" members. Perhaps a group may decide to use membership categories as subscriptions to the various periodicals they offer, both free and paid ones.

We will discuss the most typical configuration for membership kinds in this chapter.
