You must mark "Has Batch No" as yes in the item master in order to retain batches against an item.

You can create a new Batch from:

Stock > Documents > Batch > New

For the Batch item, updating Batch No. in the stock transactions (Purchase Receipt & Delivery Note) is mandatory.

Purchase Receipt

You should either create a new batch or choose one of the existing batch masters when creating a purchase receipt. One Batch Item may be connected to one Batch.

Delivery Note

In the Delivery Note Item table, define the batch. If a batch item is added to a product bundle, you may also update the packing list table's batch number.
