3.1 Creating Job Applicant and auto-syncing status from Job Applicant

The initial state of an employee recommendation form is "Pending" when it is submitted. The "Create Job Applicant" button will show up in the top right corner after the document has been submitted.

By using this button, a fresh Job Applicant with the status "Open" will be created. The employee referral form will now have the status "In Progress."

The employee referral's status will stay "In Process" even if the job applicant's status is changed to "Hold" or "Replied." The employee referral document's status will change to "Accepted" or "Rejected" depending on whether the job applicant's status has changed to either of those states.

3.2 Managing referral bonus

Many businesses reward their staff for making such referrals. You may follow the bonus payments made to employees for their referrals using ERPNext.

Before submitting the paperwork, you must choose "Is applicable for referral incentive" for the referral bonus. If the status is "Accepted," the "Create Additional Salary" button will show up at the upper right corner of the document after submission.

After you click, it will take you to the Extra salary form where you must choose the Payroll date and the Salary component before saving and submitting the document.
