Operation

Any manufacturing process carried out on raw materials to advance them along the manufacturing path is referred to as an operation.

A single manufacturing operation, its description, and the operation's default workstation are all stored in the operation master.

1. Prerequisites

It is suggested that you first create the following before creating and using an Operation:

• Workstation

2. How to create an Operation

1. Click New from the Operation list.
2. Give the Operation a name, such as cutting.
3. Choose the primary workstation on which the operation will be carried out. This will be retrieved via work orders and BOMs.
4. Under the Work Card section, choose a Quality Inspection Template for the operation. When a work order is produced, it will be fetched from the Job Card for that specific operation. The same Quality Inspection Template is configured for the new Quality Inspection when it is produced from the Job card.
5. You can optionally include a description to explain what the Operation entails.
6. Save.
