Milestone Tracking

Introduced in Version 12

You can automatically track milestones based on the lifecycle of a document if it undergoes multiple stages.

Each milestone is updated in Milestone, where the settings for milestone setting can be configured.

Home > Settings > Milestone Tracker

1. Creating a Milestone Tracker

  1. Select New.
  2. Choose "track" as the Document Type (example: "Issue").
  3. the stage field should be set (example: "Status").

Note: A milestone stage can be defined by Link or Select properties.

Once this is established, each time the status of any issue is modified, a new Milestone record is created.

In the timeline of the display, you can see the Milestone:

Note that Milestones operate apart from Versions.

2. Features

A fantastic source for reporting and notifying is a milestone. For instance, if Lead Qualification is a milestone on "Lead," milestones might aid in producing reports on the quantity of qualified leads in a given time frame.

2.1 Using Milestones with Dashboards

Milestones can assist in tracking milestone trends when used in conjunction with dashboards. For instance, a Dashboard on Milestone filtered by "Qualification" will provide the trends of leads qualified if "Qualification" is recorded as a "Lead Stage."

2.2 Using Milestones with Energy Points

Users who reach a milestone can be automatically awarded Energy Points by setting up Energy Point Rules. With this, multiple levels of transaction action can be encouraged.
